Terms of Service

Pricing

  • All listed prices are base estimates for a complete project workflow, including consultation, preparation, production, film development and post-production, and as such are subject to change based on project scope.
  • Clients will receive an accurate estimate for their project prior to booking, including all applicable fees and taxes.

Bookings and Cancellations

Clients are advised that there is a small degree of creative risk involved in an analog workflow with vintage equipment1. By proceeding with your booking, you indicate that you acknowledge and accept this risk.

  • All bookings require a $100.00 non-refundable deposit2 to be confirmed. Deposits contribute to the total quoted cost of the project.
  • Outdoor photoshoots are subject to weather conditions, and as such may need to be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Clients will be notified promptly if it is deemed necessary to reschedule.
  • No-shows: If a client does not arrive at the agreed location within 15 minutes after the start of their booking and does not provide notice, their booking will be canceled.

Privacy and Safety

  • All photographic materials may be publicly displayed in my online portfolio or social media channels. Clients may be tagged in social media posts, but their full names will never be displayed in portfolio posts.
    • Emotionally sensitive or explicit material will never be publicly displayed without the client’s written consent.
    • Clients may, at any time, contact me and request that their images be removed from public display. Requests for removal will be honoured promptly.
  • I am deeply committed to creating safe, supportive environments where all parties involved are free to be their true, authentic selves.
    • Sessions will be designed and conducted in a manner that honours the client’s scope of comfort and ability, as determined in our consultation.
    • I have zero tolerance for disrespectful or abusive conduct, or expressions of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, etc. Clients who exhibit any of these behaviours at any point in the workflow will have their booking immediately canceled and images destroyed, without refund of any expenses accrued.

Final Delivery and Billing

  • Clients are guaranteed a rapid delivery turnaround of 7 days or less for digital image files. Delivery for print orders will vary based on postal rates.
  • Clients will receive previews of all image files for review before delivery.
  • The final invoice must be paid in full before delivery of project materials (EG, digital image files, prints, etc.)
  • Invoices may be paid by cash, cheque, or INTERAC E-transfer.

Refunds/Re-Shoots

In most cases, transactions are FINAL:

  • If a client is dissatisfied with the preview of their image files, they may opt to do a re-shoot at no further cost. I’m determined to capture images that you’re happy with!
  • Alternately, clients that are dissatisfied with the results will not be charged for the project. They will not receive their high-resolution image files— no payment, no pictures.
  • In circumstances of technical issues that affect all the images and cannot be fixed in post-production (EG, camera failure, development issues, critical over/underexposure, soft focus) clients will not be charged for the session.
